Dear astrologyTOMORROWtoday (tm) Reader,
Do Dogs Have Souls?
I believe they do.
I believe at least four of my many dogs were supposed to be
born to me as human children.
Since I avoided that karmic theme for one reason or another
this lifetime, the four souls who should have been born to me
had to take the form of dogs in order to live out their karmic
themes with me.
And, in order for me to live out my karmic theme with them.
Not only do I believe dogs have souls, I also believe they are
here to learn, grow, master lessons and challenges and evolve
just like human beings.
I also believe their lives are purposeful and meaningful and
that they are teachers in their own right.
Whether my dogs and I belong to the same soul group or not
is not that important although it comforts me to think that we do.
I like to think that we belong together somehow, for then
loving and letting go of each and every one of them when the
time comes won’t be so painful.
It’s a nice thought that we are brought together this lifetime for
a purpose and that when we each leave this lifetime, we shall
continue to somehow be there for one another.
Recent events have been putting my life’s philosophy, beliefs
and value systems to the test.
At 46, I happen to hold more theories about life than I did
when younger so it would follow that I would feel more tested
on my beliefs and value systems now, than when younger.
We all more or less know of the gap between theory and practice.
It’s only when we are tested do we really find out whether
we are able to apply our knowledge and theories about life.
I’ve said before that events do not happen without reason and
that each has something to teach us.
I’ve said before that it’s not what happens to us that is important,
it’s how we interpret what happens to us.
The interpretation of what happens to us will help us to move
on or cause us to get held back.
I’ve said before that the wise way to cope with personal crisis
or pain is to not take the event too personally for it really is
not a personal thing with the universe.
It’s just the way of the universe and the laws apply to every
living thing.
I’ve said before that special people get things done despite
whatever personal crisis they may be experiencing.
I’ve said before that we should not be afraid of change, that
change is the only constant in life.
I’ve said before that death should not be a taboo subject;
that it is the only certainty in life.
I’ve said before that death is not the end, that it is only a
transformation of consciousness and energy.
I’ve said before that depression happens when the minuses
don’t get balanced by the pluses.
As we get older, we start losing more and more loved ones
even as we ourselves start to lose the advantages of youth.
That can depress us unless we accompany getting older
with some of life’s pluses.
For most of us, attaining self-sufficiency and some degree
of self-empowerment would be the plus factor.
I’ve said before that life is a series of memories and that the
more pleasant memories we have, the more we can look back
and say we have had a pleasant, if not joyful, life.
I’ve said that we ought to make it a point to create these positive
memories as we go along.
I’ve said before that it’s not necessary to always have all the
answers to life’s perplexing conditions and yet it is necessary
to ask all the right questions of life and living.
I’ve said before that if the un-reflected life is not worth living,
then, I am living a very worthwhile life for all the time I spend
reflecting.
I’ve said before that people who do not believe in ‘fate’ have
a harder time coping with crisis as they question whether they
could have done anything different to have created a different
outcome or to have delayed the inevitable.
I’ve said before that no matter what the crisis may be, that if we
have a "One Phone Call" person in our lives, the light inside
may flicker but it need not go out.
I’ve said before that we have to figure out what our life’s defining
moments are because they tell us who we are and what our major
karmic theme is about.
In addition, these life’s defining moments show us the way to use
our life’s driving forces to grow in leaps and bounds.
